Rescued Pit Bull Sniffs Out Danger
A peanut-sniffing pit bull? Sounds silly, but it's actually a life-saving skill. This is a great human (and canine) interest story, and a pleasant surprise, as well: how often do you see pit bulls described as cuddly helpers of children in the media?
Guided walk with Bruno the St. Bernard
In what has become the Forest Service's most popular wintertime activity on Mt. Hood, Timberline Lodge visitors can go on a short hike with Bruno the St. Bernard. On the tour, they're treated to a spectacular view, lessons on history and ecology, and a chance for some firsthand experience of the great (cold) outdoors... but most of all, they come to see Bruno lead the tour, doing what he loves best.
Cat saves family from house fire in Lincolnshire
Who says cats don't pull their weight in the house? And all this despite the fact that it'd save the lives of three dogs, too! Now that's some dedication. I always get a kick out of how surprised people act when cats do stuff like this. Honestly, how many cats suffer any compunction over waking you up when something is amiss in the household? Barking's not the only way to roust an owner out of bed!
Nice post. I love it. Waiting your new posts. Thank you...
